DOWN PAYMENTS; a 30% non-refundable down payment is mandatory when booking Passenger Vans, Buses, Mini-Buses, etc. FULL Non-refundable down payments are mandatory for Passenger Vans, Buses, Mini-Buses, etc. if the client is requesting a reservation within 7 days. Sedan and SUV orders do not require down payments unless directed by Second City Livery Service. *Please review our Cancellation Policy below for further details* CLEANING FEES; Second City Livery Service requires a $250 Cleaning Fee Deposit for all Buses, Mini-Buses, Passenger Vans, etc. in the event any vehicles need to be cleaned professionally following any completed reservations. The full cleaning fee is refunded once the vehicle is inspected and shows no professional cleaning is required. TOLLS; Based on traffic, weather, road conditions or hours of the day, your driver will make a determination of the safest and fastest route to your destination. He may occasionally opt to take a toll route over a free route based on his knowledge and experience. Passengers are responsible for any tolls incurred throughout the trip. Passengers will be charged the full toll rate. Discounted rates do not apply. Tolls may vary from trip to trip based upon the route taken. Round trip tolls will be charged on trips where the driver can not return to Chicago without paying a toll. When traveling in a Sedan, SUV, Passenger Van, Bus, Mini-Bus, etc. a mandatory gratuity of 20% will apply. WAITING TIME; Waiting time is charged in 15 minute increments and in comparison to your vehicles hourly price. Sedan waiting time is $1.00 per minute and SUV waiting time is priced at $1.50 per minute. Our complimentary waiting time at O’Hare Airport and/or Midway Airport is applied from the time the clients flight is scheduled to land. Domestic flight arrivals complimentary waiting time is 45 minutes and International flight arrivals complimentary waiting time is 1-hour and 15 minutes (Ex. If you have an international flight that was scheduled to land at 3:00pm but landed at 2:30pm, your complimentary wait time will be until 4:15pm, not 3:45pm because we do understand that just because a flight lands early, it doesn’t necessarily mean there is an available gate waiting for the plane). We do not charge waiting time if we see your flight has been delayed. Waiting time charges may also be incurred if a passenger arrives late to any of their reservations/pick-ups.Time spent waiting at additional stops will also be charged as wait-time, etc. Complimentary waiting time when not being picked up from the airports is 10 minutes. PEAK HOURS; When booking a reservation to be picked up Monday-Friday between the hours of 6:00am-9:00am and/or 2:30pm-6:00pm there will be an additional $10.00 fee added to your fare due to heavy traffic conditions. Booking a reservation between the hours of 12:00am-3:59am there will be an additional $15.00 “night-owl” fee added to your fare. The “night-owl” fee is applied 7 days a week. ADDITIONAL STOPS; The fare quoted online does not include any additional stops made during your trip. Unless specifically discussed when booking a reservation by phone, the fare quoted by an operator does not include any additional stops. Additional stops for Sedans and SUV’s are $15.00 per stop. This pricing for stops applies to a stop(s) while heading toward the passenger’s final drop-off destination (Ex. If you need to go from O’Hare Airport to Chicago, any stop that may occur while driving toward Chicago would be in the amount of $15.00. If you need to make a stop(s) at a suburb or any town that is not heading toward your final drop-off location in Chicago will incur additional mileage fees on top of your additional stopping fee). HOURLY CHARTERS; We have a 2-hour minimum when booking an hourly charter for our sedans or SUV’s and a 3-Hour minimum when booking an hourly charter for our Vans and Mini-Buses. Hourly Charter prices reflect a 20 mile limit per hour to the vehicle you have chosen. Any miles over your limitation will be billed at $3.50 per mile for sedans and $4.25 a mile for SUV’s. (Ex. If you book a vehicle for 5 hours, you will be allowed 100 miles during that time frame. If you end up traveling 110 miles, there will be an additional $35.00 charge for a sedan and a $42.50 charge for an SUV). LONG DISTANCE CHARTERS; For Long Distance Charter Pricing please contact Second City Livery Service by phone at 312-448-8787 or by email at email@example.com. MEET & GREET; When requesting a meet and greet service from Midway or O’Hare Airports (or any other airports) the current price is $25.00 for the service alone. The $25.00 does not include parking fees, cart rental fees or any other airport fees, etc. AIRPORT FEES & PARKING FEES; When booking a reservation from Midway or O’Hare Airports, airport fees will be added to the fare. The airport fees and/or parking fees are based upon the parking rates and fees issued by the City of Chicago. Currently, the City of Chicago charges all Taxi and Livery drivers a $4.00 “airport departure tax” when entering the airports to pick up their passengers. CANCELLATIONS; You will not be charged a cancellation fee for a Sedan or SUV reservation if you cancel your trip at least 24 hours before your scheduled pick up. If you are cancelling your reservation within 24 hours of your scheduled pick up your credit card will be charged 25% of the total reservation fare. If you are canceling your reservation within 4-hours of your scheduled pick up, you will be charged the FULL reservation fare. Cancellations for Passenger Vans must be made at least 4 days before your scheduled reservation to avoid being charged the FULL fare of your reservation. Buses, Mini-Buses, etc. must be cancelled at least 7 days before your scheduled reservation to avoid being charged the FULL fare of your reservation. In order to avoid cancellation fees, clients must notify Second City Livery Service by phone at 312-448-8787 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org. After being notified of any cancellation requests, Second City Livery Service will provide their clients with a “Cancellation Confirmation” through email. Please save the “Cancellation Confirmation” email for your records.
RATES AND BILLING; All rates are subject to audit after order completion. Occasionally changes must be made to correct mathematical errors or to reflect the actual tolls, parking fees, additional stops, waiting time, etc. Second City Livery Service rates are inclusive of taxes. AFFILIATE SERVICE POLICY; Second City Livery Service utilizes, at its discretion, licensed affiliates to provide Limousine and Ground Transportation services as requested by our clients. VEHICLE IMAGES; Vehicle images presented on the Second City Livery Service website may differ from the actual vehicle. LOST OR DAMAGED ITEMS; Second City Livery Service and its Affiliates are not responsible for lost or damaged items left in the vehicles. We will however make every effort to locate property that may have been left in one of our vehicles. We retain found items for 30 days. If you have left a personal item in one of our vehicles and wish to retrieve it, you may call our office at (312) 448-8787 for our support team or email us at email@example.com. Second City Livery Service reserves the right to charge a delivery fee for returning found items. These fees are based on the full travel rates. EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY; Second City Livery Service and its Affiliates are not responsible for missed flights, abandoned plans or losses incurred due to circumstances that are beyond our control. These circumstances include but are not limited to, causes beyond its reasonable control, acts of God and Nature, acts of terrorism, travel congestion, road closures, accidents, flight and weather delays. Second City Livery Services’ liability for all causes whatsoever arising shall be limited to your actual damages, in an amount not to exceed the sum of all charges paid by you for the fare.
SECOND CITY LIVERY SERVICE SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY WITH RESPECT TO ITS OBLIGATIONS UNDER THIS AGREEMENT OR OTHERWISE FOR CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES EVEN IF IT HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. THIS LIMITATION APPLIES TO ALL CAUSES OF ACTION OR CLAIMS IN THE AGGREGATE, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION BREACH OF CONTRACT, BREACH OF WARRANTY, INDEMNITY, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY, MISREPRESENTATION, AND OTHER TORTS. YOU AND SECOND CITY LIVERY SERVICE EACH UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT THESE REMEDIES, EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATIONS ALLOCATE THE RISKS OF SERVICE NON-CONFORMITY AS AUTHORIZED BY THE UNIFORM COMMERCIAL CODE AND/OR OTHER APPLICABLE LAWS. SECOND CITY LIVERY SERVICES’ FARES FOR SERVICES REFLECT, AND ARE SET IN RELIANCE UPON, THIS ALLOCATION OF RISK AND THE EXCLUSION OF CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES AND LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY SET FORTH IN THIS AGREEMENT. THE FOREGOING LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY APPLY WITHOUT REGARD TO ANY INTENTIONAL MISCONDUCT OR GROSS NEGLIGENCE BY SECOND CITY LIVERY SERVICE.
